Dr. Dirk Trossen
Internationally recognized technical lead, researcher, innovator, and visionary with expertise in Internet architecture, networking and software technologies for 5G and beyond, new business opportunities and development, strategic thinking and planning, and evaluation of disruptive technologies. Over the past 25+ years, Dr. Trossen has been working both in industry and academia research in international locations such as Boston, Helsinki, London and Munich, as well as collaborated with partners from industry and first class universities in the world, such as MIT, Columbia, Cambridge, UCL and more. Over these years, he has led the design, development and standardisation of pioneering solutions on mobile edge computing and 5G service-based architecture. Dr. Trossen has an extensive public speaking experience as panellist and presenter at international conferences and industrial forums, such as ITU Forum, Mobile World Congress, 5G Summit, Next Generation Mobile Network (NGMN) Forum, and more. Dr. Dana Pavel
Over the past 20+ years, Dr. Pavel has created, lead and worked in research projects in the areas of context aware computing, Internet of Things, data processing, ubiquitous computing, agent technologies and semantic modelling, both in industry research and academia. Within these projects, she designed and implemented privacy-aware platform-based self-monitoring solutions, data processing algorithms as well as novel ways of modelling and visualising user information. She also initiated and lead collaborations with various world-class academia and industry partners and contributed to visions and strategies within her competence areas.
