The Datacom Industry Association was established in 2024 to create a voice for the European Datacom industry and research community, promoting collaboration among association members, drive advocacy on the importance of Datacom R&D towards policy and decision makers as well as deliver impact through joint R&D, technology selection, and standardization.
As Secretary General of the DIA, Dirk Trossen oversees the office of the DIA, responsible for setting up and maintaining the daily activities of the association. In this role, Dirk has been working with new and current members to navigate the association, setup the various functions of the association, and organise events and meetings.
As co-chair of the Systems and Enabling Technologies Working Group, Dirk has been working on setting up the various activities planned in the WG’s.
